Michael Holloway
Michael Rann Holloway, 49, of Ada, died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009 at an Oklahoma City hospital.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Grace Christian Fellowship Church with Kenny Morrison officiating. Burial will be at Rosedale Cemetery under the direction of Criswell Funeral Home of Ada.
Born Sept. 3, 1960, at Ada, to Jerry Dale and Barbara Ann McDonald Holloway, he graduated from Laquey High School in Waynesville, Mo. in 1979.
He married Debra Eickhorst on July 20, 1979, and later married Lori Ward on Feb. 12, 2006. He was a pressman at the Ada Evening News from 1982 until the present time. He was also a martial arts instructor at Holloway’s Tae Kwon-Do Studio. He was a sixth-degree black belt and was working to earn his seventh-degree belt to become a master instructor. He was a member of the Grace Christian Fellowship.
Survivors include his wife, Lori Holloway, of the home; two sons, D. Michael Holloway and wife, Ashlee, Ada and Marcus Holloway and fiancé, Lisa, Ada; his father, Jerry Dale Holloway and wife, Jeanette, of McAlester; three grandchildren, Braxton Holloway, Brayden Holloway and Addison Holloway; six brothers, Denver Holloway and wife, Martha, of Shawnee, Tony Holloway and wife, Yun, Thousand Oaks, Calif., Charlie Holloway and wife, Yudi, of Vietnam, James Holloway and wife, Kelsey, of Atoka, Buddy Hendricks and wife, Sheri, of McAlester and James Davis and wife, Mandi, of Krebs.
And, five sisters, Kim Williams and husband, Rob, of Ada, Jarenda Lawrence, of Shawnee, Gladys Strickland, of McAlester, Tammy Kuykendal and husband, Galen, and Deanna Hacker and husband, Jason, of Moore; aunts and uncles, Joe and Delores Holloway, George and Lyndall Holloway, Rick and Cindy Holloway, Bill and Pat McDonald, Dennis and Bonnie McDonald, Ronnie and Linda Mosley, Greta Holloway, Peggy and Paul Lee, Jean and Leonard Storts and Virgie Mosley, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Ann Holloway on Feb. 8, 2006; his father-in-law; one aunt; three uncles, and his grandparents.
