Helen I. Creamer
Helen I. Creamer, 79, of Pittsburg, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, at Mary Hurley Hospital in Coalgate.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Pittsburg School (new) Gymnasium with the Rev. Bob Deshazer officiating. Burial will be at Pittsburg Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester.
Born Oct. 2, 1930, in Sasakwa, she was the daughter of Hiram H. and Martha Emmer (Kelley) Nalley. She married Carroll Creamer on July 8, 1978, in Las Vegas.
She enjoyed helping others and loved to can, cook and work in the garden. She worked as a nurse’s aide and was a chaperone for band and cheerleaders in Arkansas.
She was a member of the Pittsburg/Blanco Fire Department Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Carroll Creamer, of the home; one son, Gary Hamilton, Midlothian, Texas; one daughter, Sharla Coomer, Midlothian, Texas.
Also, granddaughters, Cayla Coomer and Summer Ann Derby; grandsons, Robbie Prater and Lloyd Hamilton; three great-grandsons.
And, four sisters-in-law, Vera Nalley, of Pittsburg, Eulene Hamilton, Bedford, Texas, Della Nalley, Vancouver, Wash., and Rhea Greer, Gibbson, Texas; two brothers-in-law, Jesse Creamer, Warren, Texas, and Art Creamer, Dallas, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jerry Hamilton; grandson, Brandon Hamilton; three sisters, Bessie Reed, Grace Gardner and Willie Burnett, three brothers, Tommy, Dee and Alfred Nalley.
Pallbearers will be Pittsburg/Blanco Fire Department, Ronnie Rice, M.A. Danley, William Johnson, Alfred Nalley, Thomas Nalley and Kenny Nalley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Dobbs, Tony Potts and Jimmy Weaver.
