David Lawson
David Wayne Lawson, 37, of Krebs, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at his home.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Bishop Funeral Home.
The family will meet for lunch at the Haileyville Community of Christ building at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mountain Station Cemetery with the Rev. Marvin Dunn officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.
Born Apr. 18, 1972, in McAlester, he was the son of Carl Gilbert and Connie Jeanette Wallen Lawson. He attended McAlester schools and married Shayla Gregg on Apr. 14, 1994.
He worked for Lawson Sheet Metal of McAlester and also at Marilyn’s Restaurant, south of McAlester.
He was a sportsman, loving to hunt and fish and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his parents, Carl G. and Connie Lawson, of Adamson; two daughters, Dakota Lawson, of Tulsa, and Celeste Lawson, of the home; a son, Lindsay Lizik, of the home; his companion, Christy Lizik, of the home.
Also, four sisters, Patricia Wallen, of Tulsa, Tonie R. Gayton and fiancee’, Tommy Hood, of McAlester, Tracy L. Lawson, of Tulsa, and Cindy Burmham and husband, Michael, Los Angeles; three brothers, James “Bo” Lawson, of Kiowa, D. J. Lawson and wife, Lori, of McAlester, and Allen C. Lawson and wife, Kath, Salinas, Kan., and numerous aunts and uncles, including Benjamin Lawson, of Gowen.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gregory Scott Wallen.
Pallbearers will be Bennie Lawson, Robert Young, Tommy Hood, Charles Dunn, Allen Lawson and Norman Lawson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Clarence Painter, Jack Bigelow, Mark Lizik and Lon Brown.
