Bobbie Joanna (Reed) Wallace
Bobbie Joanna (Reed) Wallace, 37, of McAlester, died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, in Tulsa.
The family will receive visitors from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Bishop Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Frink Baptist Church with the Rev. James Collins officiating. Burial will be at Carney Family Cemetery, south of McAlester. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.
Born in McAlester, she was the daughter of Freeman and Barbara Gaultney Reed. She lived on Chambers Road for 19 years. After her father and grandparents preceded her in death, she lived with her aunt and uncle, Betty and Mickey Harris.
She attended Frink-Chambers School, then Savanna High School. In her youth she attended Frink Baptist Church.
She played basketball while attending Frink-Chambers and softball for the Boys and Girls Club. She loved horses and enjoyed going to play days.
Survivors include nine children, Courtney Reed, Stacey Walters, Faith Wallace, Donald Walters, Rocky Trail, Destiny Wallace, Jody Walters, Christian Wallace and Lauren Wallace; three brothers, Freeman Reed Jr., Phillip Reed and Michael Reed.
Also, 10 sisters, Karen Reed Johnston and husband, Patrick, Tammie Reed Baze, Deanna Harris, Cathy Reed Johnson and husband, Tom, Patricia (Reed) Thinelk, Kathy Carney, Carol Carney, Rhonda Pinkleton, Sharon Reed and Becky Reed, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by father, Freeman Reed; grandparents, Joseph and Agnes Johnson and Bill and Elsie Gaultney, and a sister, Janet Painter.
Pallbearers will be Josh Johnston, Michael Harris, John Whetsel, Shawn Painter, John Lloyd Whetsel and Brent Reed.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Wilson, Dewayne Meadows and Chan Lee.
