Rebecca “Becky” Ketcherside, 54, of Kiowa, Monday, July 20, 2009, at her home.
The family will receive visitors from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Bishop Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Faith Tabernacle Church in McAlester with Dan Roberts officiating. Burial will be at Ulan Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.
Born July 14, 1955, in Ulan, she was the daughter of Homer Z. and Geneva F. (Brown) Pierce. She spent her early years in Kiowa, where she attended school and later married Ronnie Lee Ketcherside, on Sept. 14, 1974.
She enjoyed working outdoors in her flower garden and fishing. She also enjoyed family get-togethers and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Ketcherside, of the home; son, Ron Ketcherside and children, Dalton, Brandy and Paxton, of Kiowa; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy Dering and Russell McGee and children, Gage, Kortney, Alexis and Bobby, of Savanna.
Also, sisters and brothers-in-law, Clara Middleton, of Kiowa, Ruby Kelley and Doyle Young, of McAlester, Betty and Dan Roberts, Anderson, Mo., and Bertha and Lee Lambert, of Kiowa; brothers and sisters-in-law, Junior and Debbie Pierce, of Ulan, Kenneth Dale and Sherrie Pierce, of Kiowa, and Ronnie and Jenny Pierce, of Kiowa, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Geneva Pierce; two brothers, James and Cyal Pierce; a brother-in-law, Jack Middleton, and a nephew, Steven Dale Kelley.
Pallbearers will be Samson Middleton, Ben Pierce, Greg Pierce, Jackie Dale Middleton, Danny Kelley and Danny Roberts.
